Pace Setting Activities

            Navodaya Vidyalaya Scheme attributes a specific pace-setting role to Navodaya Vidyalayas to play, to achieve high levels of Excellency through qualitative academic results, communicative and linguistic ability of the children, competitive spirit and capability, innovative learning practices, developing correct attitudes and moral values that help children to groom themselves to become useful, active and responsible citizens of the country. While achieving these goals, adequate care is taken to ensure that the children keep their linkages with the local community around them and contribute for furthering these values in the neighborhood and community.

• Socio Economic survey of nearby hamlets.
• Extending health help line to the backward villages.

• Participation in community singing and cultural programme extending facilities of music training of neighboring schools.
• Creating awareness for protection of environment against deforestation, local pollutants.
• Communal Harmony Campaign.
• Participation of local schools teachers and students in workshops , seminar and CCA competitions.
• Coaching of Rural children for JNVST .

            The Vidyalaya is always has vision of serving the community. It regularly involves itself in various pace setting activities. It serves the surrounding village and village people in various ways. Some of the Pace Setting Activities are given below.
• Vidyalaya regularly arranges programme for creating awareness about NVS and Navodaya Vidyalaya System in the surrounding villages.

• Vidyalaya Has also taken steps for extending its teaching aids, lab facilities for the students of surrounding village

• Vidyalaya arranged for general health check up for students and teachers.

• Vidyalaya has also made provision for dental check up .

• HIV AIDS awareness programme for students and teachers of Vidyalaya.

• Eye Donation Camp.

• Programme on Awareness about first aid student and teachers of Vidyalaya.



  • To take the Vidyalaya to the neighborhood community to involve the neighborhood community in the Vidyalaya’s progress.

  • To give teacher training programmes to the neighborhood schools.

  • To conduct good number of Inter-school activities and competitions

  • To take up social service and community development programmes

  • To develop Vidyalaya as a resource centre and knowledge hub.

  • To provide the youth and students of the community the ICT and library facility.


Proposed to take up the following programmes and activities:

  • Extension of library facilities through mobile library.

  • To prepare the children for participating in Independence day parade at khammam

  • Conduct of Inter school competitions in Art, Music, Sports and Games.

  • Organization of social awareness programmes on AID and WOMEN’S DAY in the neighborhood community.


  • It is planned to give good exposure to all students in various activities.

  • The scouts and guides would be kept in the forefront as well as the proposed NSS unit

  • The programmes would be organized with the mutual reciprocation of the Institution and the Community.
